English Paper Piecing Class

Spend an afternoon learning the art and history of English Paper Piecing (EPP). EPP is a popular quilt piecing technique that began in England in the 1700s, and soon after came to the US, where it grew in popularity during the Great Depression. EPP creates precise shapes as fabric is wrapped around paper pieces for stability, and makes for simple and portable projects. The design possibilities are endless because the shapes align beautifully. Angela will show you how to choose your materials and tools and how to piece a hexagon flower, and encourage you to explore the wide variety of projects you will then be capable of creating. No sewing experience is necessary. All supplies will be provided.
